My name is David and I'm a front rider for this club. Shortly after my dad lost his sight in a cycling accident in 2001, I saw an advert for Bury Tandem Club in my local bike shop. I decided to join for three reasons:

1. To get myself in shape.
2. To help fellow bikers get our regularly.
3. To encourage my dad to get back in the saddle.

What I enjoy most about tandem riding is:

• The feeling of satisfaction at the end of a long hard ride.
• The fresh air and spectacular Lancashire scenery.
• Hot soup on a cold day.
