As the caterers need precise numbers, please inform Joyce AS SOON AS POSSIBLE - by November 9th AT THE LATEST if you wish to partake.

Informing Derek of your availability

On a recent occasion only FOUR people phoned Derek about their availability for rides by the due date. As a result Derek had to make over THIRTY phone calls to get the information he needed to compile the rota. The motto is: Please phone Derek by the due date! NB the due date has now been changed from a Monday to the previous Friday so that Derek can work on it at the weekend.

Home and mobile numbers

The list of members' phone numbers is currently being updated. If your home phone number or mobile number has changed recently, please inform Joyce NOW on 01204 840860.

Southport Sponsored Ride Total to Date

To date, £958 has been collected. What a magnificent effort by all involved! Peter Carr estimates that the total could be as high as £1200 since he has not yet received all sponsorship monies. Please send outstanding sponsorship money to Peter a.s.a.p.

The Best Rota in Twenty Years!!

As a result of recent articles in local newspapers and magazines, we have had an influx of new front and rear riders. There is now a pool of 25 pilots and 10 stokers! Congratulations to everybody concerned in training, in getting up and out on Sunday mornings and working so well together as a team! As you will see from the enclosed rota the numbers of tandems out are 8, 5, 8, 4 and 10, which makes it the best rota in 20 years!

PS We still need more volunteer front riders to help Dave Harrison train the newcomers. Please contact Dave.
